667ORDINANCE NO. 667 AN ORDINANCE SETTING A TENTATIVE BUDGET AND APPROPRIATING REVENUES TO BE COLLECTED FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING NOVEMBER 1, 1970, AND ENDING OCTOBER 31, 1971, TO THE VARIOUS ITEMS OF THE CITY BUDGET. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That the following amount of monies are anticipated to be collected from the sources of revenue of the City of Edgewater, V&lusia County, Florida, during the fiscal year beginning November 1, 1970, and ending October 31, 1971, to wit: ESTIMATED INCOME From Surplus Funds 21,000.00 Taxes 91,000.00 Building Permits 1,200.00 Electric Permits 600.00 Plumbing Permits 500.00 Business & Occupational Licenses 9,000.00 Beer, Wine & Liquor Licenses 1,900.00 Fines and Forfeitures 18,000.00 Miscellaneous 2,000.00 Cigarette Tax 40,000.00 Franchise Rebate 14,500.00 Community Center 1,000.00 Garbage and Trash Collections 35,000.00 Office and Storage Space Rental 1,200.00 236,900.00 SECTION 2. That from the aforesaid anticipated monies to be collected from the sources of revenue as aforementioned, the same be and they are hereby appropriated to the following purposes in the following amounts during the fiscal year beginning November 1, 1970, and ending October 31, 1971, to wit: ESTIMATED EXPENDITURES General Government 66,000.00 Garbage & Trash Departments 32,800.00 Road Maintenance 23,600.00 Street Paving and Improvements 2,000.90 Humane Society 1,200.00 Park Maintenance 8,300.00 Recreation 2,000.00 Street Lights 11,550.00 Police Department 46,500.00 Fire Department 4,250.00 Fire Hydrants 5,200.00 Emergency and Contingency 6,000.00 Library 8,840.00- Community Center 2,550.00 Drainage 10,700100 Capital Outlay 100.00 Civil Defense 100.00 Administrator 100.00 Equipment Replacement Fund _ 5,110.00 236,900.00 SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Edgewater, Florida, be and she is hereby directed to appropriate such anticipated revenue as set forth in Section 1. herein to the respective purposes set forth in Section 2, herein as and when the above described and designated revenues are received and collected. SECTION 4. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 5. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at the Regular Meeting of the Council held on the 21st day of September, A.D., 1970, and approved as provided by law. The second reading of said Ordinance to be at the Regular Meeting of the City Council to be held on October 5, 1970.
