AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 655 WHICH APPOINTED THE
MUNICIPAL JUDGE OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, SO AS TO
PROVIDE THAT THE CITY COUNCIL
MAY PROVIDE A MUNICIPAL JUDGE
PRO TEM TO SERVE AS MUNICIPAL
JUDGE DURING ANY ABSENCE OR
ILLNESS OF THE MUNICIPAL JUDGE
AND SETTING FORTH AN EFFECTIVE
DATE THEREFOR.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 655 of the City
of Edgewater, Florida be and the same is hereby
amended so as to add SECTION 6. which shall read as
follows:
SECTION 6. That in the absence or upon the
illness of the Municipal Judge the City Council shall have
the right and ppwer to designate b}SANditb e a Municipal
Judge pro tem to serve on a temporary basis as Municipal
Judge of the City of Edgewater, Florida during the
absence or illness of the Municipal Judge and the said
compensation of the Municipal Judge pro tern shall be set
upon whatever terms and conditions as the City Council
shall deem advisable. Said Municipal Judge pro tem shall
be authorized to do and perform all acts and things as
prescribed by the Constitution and the laws of the State
of Florida and the Charter and Ordinances and Resolutions
of the City of Edgewater, Florida.
SECTION 2. That all other sections of Ordinance
No. 655 shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and
approval by the Mayor.
The above Ordinance was read in full and passed
by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida at a special meeting of the City Council held
on the loth day of July A.D., 1970.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the
requirement of reading said Ordinance upon second read-
ing was waived and the Ordinance was ordered put upon
final passage.
Passed by vote of the City Council of the City of
Edgewater, Florida at a special meeting of said Council
held on the loth day of July, 1970 and approved as
provided by law; the vote of said council being as
follows:
