624ORDINANCE NO. 623 AN ORDINANCE PROMULGATING A VACATION SCHEDULE AND POLICY FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That all full time regular Police Officers of the City of Edgewater, Florida shall be entitled to twelve (12) days vacation per year after said Officer has been employed as a regular full time policeman by the City for one (1) year. SECTION 2. That so far as the Police Department of the City of Edgewater is concerned, there shall be 'vL 4 official holidays recognized by the City of Edgewater for said policemen: New Year's Day, iw0m, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. In the event any Policeman is required to work on any of the above designated holidays, that said Policeman shall be entitled to take another day off for the particular holiday said Policeman had to work, or, he shall have the option of working during the said official holiday and receiving double pay for that day. SECTION 3. That Ordinance No. 567 heretofore adopted relating to vacations for City employees shall have no applicability to this Ordinance. SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 3rd day of March A.D., 1969. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of reading said Ordinance upon second reading was waived and the Ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
