622ORDINANCE NO. 622 AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING FIVE HOLIDAYS FOR FULL TIME EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR COMPENSATION OR TIME OFF FOR CITY EMPLOYEES ON SAID DAYS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFOR. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That the following holidays are hereby designated as official holidays within the City of Edgewater, Florida, to -wit: New Years Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. SECTION 2. That every full time employee employed on a salaried basis shall be paid for the said holidays whether re- quired to work or not, and, if any said full time salaried employee of the City of Edgewater is required to work on any of the above -designated holidays he or she shall be entitled to and required to take another day off, said day to be worked out by said employee and his or her supervisor. SECTION 3. That any full time hourly employee of the City of Edgewater, Florida required to work on one of the above designated holidays shall be paid at the rate of twice his or her normal hourly rate, for said day. SECTION 4. That the provisions of this Ordinance shall not apply to the Police Department of the City of Edgewater, Florida. SECTION 5. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 6. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediate- ly upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 3rd day of February A.D., 1969. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of reading said Ordinance upon second reading was waived--kmd the Ordinance was ordered put upon final passage..
