594ORDINANCE NO. 594 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF POLICE CHIEF HERMAN M. WITMEYER AND TERMINATING HIS EMPLOYMENT AS CHIEF OF POLICE FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA EFFECTIVE MARCH 16, 1968 WHEREAS, Herman M. Witmeyer has submitted his resignation as Police Chief for the City of Edgewater, Florida effective March 16, 1968, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That the resignation of Herman M. Witmeyer as Chief of Police for the City of Edgewater, Florida be and the same is hereby accepted and his employment as Police Chief for the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida be and the same is hereby terminated on March 16, 1968. SECTION 2. That the said Herman M. Witemyer shall be allowed as and for severance pay accrued vacation time through March 31, 1968. SECTION 3. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby rescinded. SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. The foregoing Ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting of said City Council held on March 18, 1968. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the require- ment of reading said Ordinance upon second reading was waived and the Ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
