575ORDINANCE NO. 575 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BILLING OF ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS FOR PAVING PURSUANT TO THE 1967 PAVING PROGRAM OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA. WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution and public hearing heretofore held on Feb. 6, 1967 on the 1967 paving program of the City of Edgewater, Florida wherein it was determined that the following streets were to be paved by the City and abutting property owners billed therefor: Bryson Drive W. Connecticut E. Adel le Er Ann Street W. Ann Street E. Joyce Street W. Joyce Street Old County Road (from Ocean Avenue to W. Connecticut) Alice Street Joan Street Edith Street Linda Street Continuation from 12th Street to Mango Man'o to 16th Street 16th Street to Juniper Juniper to Indian River Bilvd. W. Bigelow to Narranga Perdita Street Palmetto (S. of Knapp) 12th Street to Royal Palm Drive Alamando Street (from the Blvd. S. to 19th Street) Banyan Street (from the Blvd. S. to 19th Street) Date Palm (from Blvd. N. to Canal) Evergreen (from Blvd. N. to Canal) , and l,d eR ear WHEREAS, the above listed streets have noy;�een pavZ� the City of Edgewater. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: Section I. That abutting property owners on both sides of the aforementioned streets shall be assessed the sum of 40; per front foot and the City Clerk be and she is hereby authorized to bill the said abutting property owners therefor. SIS Section 2. That immediately upon the determination of the assessment to each of the abutting property owners, the said abutting property owners shall be billed for their proportionate share, which shall be paid in the following manner: a. Without interest if said bill is paid within 30 days of billing. b. In the event said paving bill is not paid within 30 days from the date of billing, arrangements may be made by the property owner, or owners, with said city wherein the bill may be paid on on installment basis within one year from date of billing, with interest charged thereon at the rate of 6% per annum. Section 3. That in the event the said paving bill is not paid by any person, or persons, liable therefor, and in lieu of compliance with Section 2, item b above, within 30 days after billing, said property shall be subject to a lien for the amount owing, plus 6%per year interest, and said interest shall continue until the paving bill has been paid in full. Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the some are hereby repealed. Section 5. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Vice Mayor. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting of said Council held on October 2, 1967. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage. -2- Passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the 2nd day of October, 1967, and approved as provided by law, the vote of said Council being as follows: Attest: ity Clerk Approved this��day of October, 1967.
