569ORDINANCE NO. 569 AN ORDINANCE SETTING FORTH MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS WITHIN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 327, the city council has caused a study and investigation to be made of proposed speed regulations upon the streets in Edgewater, Florida. WHEREAS, it has been determined that to promote uniformity of speed regulations, a maximum speed limit should be adopted to apply to all motor vehicles, as defined by the Laws of the State of Florida. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the maximum speed limit allowable on all streets within the city of Edgewater, Florida, with the exception of U.S. Highway No. 1 and Riverside Drive, shall be (25) twenty five miles per hour, unless other- wise posted. Section 2. That the maximum allowable speed on Riverside Drive shall be (30)thirty miles per hour, unless otherwise posted; provided however, that the maximum allowable speed on Riverside Drive between Lamont Avenue and Pine Bluff Street shall be (20) twenty miles an hour unless otherwise posted. Section 3. That the above maximum speed limits shall apply to all motor vehicles as defined by the Laws of Florida. Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances that conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 5. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage by the city council and approval by the mayor. The foregoing ordinance was read in full and passed by a vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting of said council held on August 21, 1967. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, S4 9 the requirement of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage. Passed by a vote of the city council of the city of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting of said council held on August 21, 1967, and approved as provided by law, the vote of the said council being as follows: Approved this 21st day of August, A.
