4890 ORDINANCE NO. 499 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PAVING OF CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA. WHEREAS, it has heretofore been resolved by the City *dec, the City of Edgewater, Florida to pave the hereinafte�® streets, and WHEREAS, public hearing has heretofore been had on the said intention of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida to pave the said streets. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA : Section 1. That the City of Edgewater, Florida, will pave the following streets within the city limits of the City of Edgewater, Florida, Volusia County, to -wit: Adele Street (West of Flagler Avenue) Ocean Avenue (West of Flagler Avenue) Edgewater Drive 19th Street (Coco Palm to Evergreen Tree Drive) there Section 2. That the said paving shall be done and/shall be an assessment to each of the abutting property owners on both sides of the aforementioned streets of the sum of 40C per front foot. Section 3. That immediately upon the determination of the assessment to each of the abutting property owners, the said abutting property owners shall be billed for their proportionate share, which shall be paid in the following manner: a. Without interest if said bill is paid within thirty (30) days of billing. b. In the event said paving bill is not paid within thirty (30) days from the date of billing, arrangements may be made by the property owner or owners with said city wherein the bill may be paid on an installment basis within one year from date of billing, with interest charged thereon at the rate of 6% per annum. Section 4. That in the event the said paving bill is not paid by any person, or persons, liable therefor, and in lieu of compliance with Section 3, item b above, within thirty (30) days after billing said property shall be subject to a lien for the amount owed, plus 6% per year interest, and said interest shall continue until the paving bill has been paid in full. Section 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 6. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting of said Council held on June 6, 1966. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage. Under Ordinance #452: Cocoa Palm Dr. (from Indian River Blvd, to Azalea Dr., The cost of all materials for said paving will be Prorated, cne third each to the abutting property 0e 6rs on both sides of the streets and the remai_nin� one third to be paid by the City of Edgewater. We are enclosing a statement covering your cost of the Pa-ing which my be paid, without interest, within thirty days of billing date or in the event said paving bill is not paid within 30 days from data of billings arrangements may be made by the Property owner or owners wtth said City wherein the bill may be paid on an ins"allment basis within one year from date of billing, with interest charged thereon; at the rate of 62 per annum. Section 4 of said Ordinances states that if bill is not paid within one year of date of billing, the City of Edgewater shall place a lien against the Property.
