431CRDIHANCE NO. 431 AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AND APPOINTING A POLICE CHIEF FOR TIM CITY OF EDCMMER, VOLUSIA CODNTY, FLORIDA, AND SETTING FORTH C011FENSATION FOR SUCH OFFICE. Ir IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ED(iN,'WATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1, That Herman Witmeyer be and he hereby is designated and appointed as the Chief of Police for the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, with full power and authority to do and perform all of the duties of said office as fixed and defined by the Charter and ordinances of said city and the laws of the State of Florida, to serve as such at the will of the City Council of the said city. That the said Herman Witmeyer shall be paid the sum of Three Hundred Fifty and No/100 (a350.00) Dollars per month. Said appointment being effective as of the let day of February, 1965. SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at the recessed meeting of said Council held February 3rd, 1965. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of reading such ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
