Planning Department
1. The existing zoning classification for this property is Public/Semi-Public not
B-3 as shown on the plan. Revise accordingly.
2. Curbing must be provided around the perimeter of the new parking area.
Wheelstops are not permitted.
3. Revise landscape plan to indicate a 24" height for all shrubs and 2 Y2" caliper
at 6" above the soil line for trees.
Building Department
1. All buildings constructed after January 25, 2007 shall have glass protection
per FBC 1606.9.1.4.
2. Construction drawings shall comply with the 2004 Florida Building Code
with the 2006 revisions and National Electric Code, Edition 2005.
3. Construction review comments will be provided during the building permit
process.
Environmental Services
1. Per the Land Development Code, wheel stops are not allowed unless
stormwater design warrants their use. Please provide justification or remove
from the site plan.
2. Paving and Grading Note #5 should read that all disturbed areas must be
sodded. Seed and mulch are not acceptable.
3. The cross section on the ditch shows a bottom elevation of 22.0. This should
be 21.5.
4. The Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plan is too small to read. This
should be shown on a separate sheet.
5. Sufficient dumpster or refuse containers shall be provided during
construction.
6. The existing water service is 1" not %" as represented on the
Water/Wastewater application for service.
Engineer (Quentin L. Hampton Associates)
1. The plans should include a note stating "All construction shall be in
conformance with the City of Edgewater Land Development Code and
Standard Construction Details, Latest Version, unless otherwise specifically
approved".
2. Paving and grading notes make reference to Seminole County. Revise to
reflect Volusia County.
3. FDOT stop sign and pavement bar should be provided at driveway connection
with US 1.
4. Since this is an existing building, it assumed that the utilities are in
compliance with City Standards. Please clarify.
5. Wheel stops should be provided at grass parking spaces.
Fire Department
1. The required fire flow for this project is 1500 gallons per minute.
