386ORDINANCE NO. 386
AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AND APPOINTING
A POLICE CHIEF FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND SETTING
FORTH COMPENSATION FOR SUCH OFFICE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That JACK HAYMAA be and he hereby is designated and appointed
as the Chief of Police for the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida,
with full power and authority to do and perform all of the duties of said
office as fixed and defined by the Charter and ordinances of said city and
the laws of the State of Florida, to serve as such at the will of the City
Council of the said city. That the said JACK HAYMAN shall be paid the sum
of Three Hundred Seventy-five and no/100 ($375.00) Dollars for a period of
three months, said compensation being increased to Four Hundred and no/100
($400.00) Dollars per month thereafter. Said appointment being effective
as of the let day of December, 1963•
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same hereby are repealed.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
passage and approval by the Mayor.
The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City
Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at the regular meeting of said
Council held December 2nd, 1963•
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of read-
ing such ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was
ordered put upon final passage.
Passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida
at the regular meeting of said council held on the 2nd day of December,
1963, and approved as provided by law, the vote of said council being as
follows:
