AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AND RE -APPOINTING
A DEPUTY CITY CLERK FOR THE CITY OF EDGEEWATER,
VOLUSIA COUNTY, FIORIDA AMID SETTING FORTH
DESIGNATING FORSAID
SUCH OFFICE; AND FURTHER
DESIGNATING SAID DEPUTY CITY CLERK AS ACTING
CITY CLERK AND SETTING FORTH CCNPENSATION 40�
FOR SUCH DUTIES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA.

SECTION 1. That Helen W. Jones be and she hereby is designated
and re -appointed as Deputy City Clerk of said City with full power
and authority to do and perform all of the duties of said office as
fixed and defined by the Charter and Ordinances of said City and the
laws of the State of Florida; and to serve as such Deputy City Clerk
at the will of the City Council of said City. Said Helen W. Jones
shall be paid the sum of Two Hundred and no/100 ($2DO.00) Dollars
per month as Deputy City Clerk.
SECTION 2. Said Helen W. Jones is hereby designated as Acting
City Clerk of said City and shall serve in such capacity until office
of City Clerk is duly filled by City Council of said City. The position
of Acting City Clerk shall be effective as of November 6th, 1963 and
compensation as Acting City Clerk is hereby effective as of same date
in the am of Three Hundred and no/loo ($300.00) Dollars per month.
When the City Council of said City has properly filled the office of
City Clerk, the designation of Helen W. Jones as Acting City Clerk
shall automatically terminate together with pay for such office and
Helen W. Jones at that time is automatically reverted back to her
permanent duties as Deputy City Clerk with compensation as above stated.
SECTION 3. That the .said Helen W. Jones is hereby authorized
to execute signature cards for, and have access to, the safety deposit
box for said city as maintained in the Bank of New Smyrna, New
Smyrna Beach, Florida.

SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed.
SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the
City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at the Regular Meeting
of said Council held on November 18th,-1963.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of
reading such ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance
was ordered put upon final passage.
Passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida, atthe regular meeting of said Council held on the 18th
day of November, 1963, and approved as provided by law, the vote
of said Council being as follows:
