AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AND APPOINTING
A CITY ATTORNEY FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND SETTING FORTH
COMPENSATION FOR SUCH OFFICE
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA
SECTION 1. That Jefferson W. Clark be, and he is hereby designated and
appointed as City Attorney for the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida,
with full power and authority to do and perform all of the duties of said office
as fixed and defined by the Charter and ordinances of said city and the laws
of the State of Florida, to serve as such at the will of the City Council of
the said city. That the said Jefferson W. Clark shall be paid a monthly
salary of One Hundred Fifty ($150. 00) Dollars as compensation for attending
regular meetings of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, and
for performing ordinary services involved therewith. Additional compensation
shall be paid monthly for services required over and above those normally
rendered for said position. Said appointment shall be effective the 15th day
of November, 1963.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
be, and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
passage and approval by the Mayor.
The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council
of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at the regular meeting of said council held
on November 18, 1963.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement reading said
ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered
put upon final passage.
