AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT LANDS LYING
EASTERLY OF RIVERSIDE DRIVE WITHIN THE CITY
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, 'I"'.
SHALL EE INCLUDED IN THE ABUTTING VOTING .l
DISTRICTS WEST OF RIVERSIDE DRIVE, AND RE-
PEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS
ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT.
WHEREAS, the 1955 amendment to the Charter of the
City of Edgewater, Florida, enlarged the boundaries of
said City to include lands lying leasterly of Riverside
Drive, which, at the time of said adoption were vacant
lands; and
WHEREAS, there are now residents and taxpayers of
the City of Edgewater, Florida, residing on said lands;
and
WHEREAS, by Chapter 29049, Laws of Florida, 1953,
the City of Edgewater, Florida, was divided into four
voting districts, none of which voting districts included
said lands lying Easterly of Riverside Drive in the City
of Edgewater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, by Chapter 57-1290, laws of 1957, the
governing body of the City of Edgewater, Florida, has
been graphed the discretion to determine what districts
for election purposes any newly annexed territory shall
be included in; and
WHEREAS, since the inclusion of said lands lying
Easterly of Riverside Drive within the city limits of the
City of Edgewater, Florida, the electors of the City of
Edgewater, Florida, residing on the lands easterly of
Riverside Drive, have been permitted to vote within the
voting districts abutting said lands Westerly from River-

side Drive.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA.
SECTION 1. That the lands lying easterly of River-
side Drive in the City of Edgewater, Florida, shall be in-
cluded in the abutting voting districts lying westerly of
Riverside Drive in the City of Edgewater, Florida.
SECTION 2. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect im-
mediately upon its passage.
The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by
vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida,
at the regular meeting of said Council held on September
16th, 1963•
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the
requirements of reading said Ordinance upon second reading
was waived and the Ordinance was ordered put upon final
passage.
Passed by vote of the City Council of the City of
Edgewater, Florida, at the meeting of said Council held on
the 16th day of September, 1963; the vote of said Council
being as follows:
