AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE RATE OF TAXATION
FOR ALL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA
COUNTY, FLORIDA, FOR THE YEAR 1963, AND AUTHORIZING
THE NOTIFICATION OF THE MILLAGE TO THE TAX ASSESSOR
OF VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA; of®O/�,�
SECTION 1. That all real and personal property in the City ADOPTED
Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, shall be taxed in accordance
with the laws of the State of Florida and the ordinances of said city,
and the millage for the purpose of taxation to raise the required re-
venue for the necessary and ordinary expenses and the special and
extraordinary expenses contemplated by the City Council of the City
of Edgewater, Florida, hereby is set at Twenty-two (22) Mills upon
the dollar and it is therefore determined and hereby declared that a
tax of Twenty-two (22) mills upon the dollar be levied and the same
hereby is imposed upon all taxable real and personal property lying
and being in the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, in the
year 1963.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk be and she hereby is directed
to note the said levy and millage on the assessment land of said city
and to notify the Tax Assessor of Volusia County, Florida, of the said
millage.
SECTION 3. That all the above taxes are due and payable as pro-
vided by state law.
SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed.
SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the
City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at the Special Meeting
of said Council held on the 31st day of July, 1963.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of
reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance
was ordered put upon final passage.
Passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida, at a Special meeting of said Council held on the 31st
day of July, 1963, and approved as provided by law, the vote of
said Council on roll call being as follows: -
