ORDINANCE N0. 324
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING BIDS FOR
WATER PIPE, VALUES, FIRE HYDRANTS, ■
AND FITTINGS FOR THE CITY OF f(1�
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, AND REJECTING
DOPTco
ALL OTHER BIDS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA.
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida, hereby accepts the competitive bid of Johns -Manville,
of Jacksonville, Florida, for water pipe, for a total of
$5,796.75, and the competitive bid of Davis Meter and Supply
of Orlando, Orlando, Florida, for the values, fire hydrants,
and fittings for a total bid of $1,319.16, as per the called
for bids for the same heretofore published through Legal
Advertisement by the City of Edgewater, Florida, said pipe,
values, fire hydrants, and fittings to comply with the
specifications called for in the City+s request for bids.
SECTION 2: That the bid of Joseph Boyd, Daytona Beach,
Florida, in the amount of $12,822.95 and the bid of Moore
Utility Supply Company, of Jacksonville, Florida,in the
amount of $6,536.10, be and the same are hereby rejected.
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and approval by the Mayor,
SECTION : That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: That this ordinance is enacted pursuant to
Section 104 of the Charter of the City of Edgewater, Volusla
County, Florida, as amended.
The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by
unanimous vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida, at the regular meeting of said Council held on the
6th day of August, 1962.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the
requirement of reading said ordinance upon second reading
was waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final
passage.
Pased by vote of the City Council of the City of
Edgewater, Florida, at the regular meeting of said Council
on the 6th day of August, A.D., 1962, and approved as
provided by law, the vote of said Council being as follows:
