312ORDINANCE NO. 312 AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AND APPOINTING A CITY ATTORNEY FOR TEE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND SETTING FORTH COMPENSATION FOR SUCH OFFICE. ADOPTED BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Jefferson W. Clark be and he hereby is designated and appointed as City Attorney for the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, with full power and authority to do and perform all of the duties of said office as fixed and defined by the Charter and ordinances of said city and the laws of the State of Florida, to serve as such at the will of the City Council of the said city. That the said Jefferson W. Clark shall be paid an annual retainer of Five Hundred and no/100 (4500.00) Dollars per year; said retainer to be paid in quarterly installments. In addition thereto, the said Jefferson W. Clark shall be paid the additional sum of Ten and no/100 ($10.00) Dollars for each special and/or regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, attended by said Attorney. And said additional compensation shall be paid monthly. Said appoint- ment being effective the 22nd day of May, 1962. SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed. SECTION 3• That this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at the regular meeting of said council held on June 4, 1962. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ord- inance was ordered put upon final passage.
