293ORDINANCE #293 AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AND RE -APPOINTING A POLICE CHIEF FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY; FLORIDA, AND SETTING FORTH COMPENSATION FOR SUCH OFFICE. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That F. H. NORMAN be and he hereby is designated and re -appointed as the Chief of Police for the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, with full power and authority to do and perform all of the duties of said office as fixed and defined by the Charter and ordinances of said city and the laws of the State of Florida, to serve as such at the will of the City Council of the said city. That the said F. H. NORMAN shall be paid the sum of Four Hundred Twenty-five and no/100 ($425. 00) Dollars per month. Said re -appointment being effective as of the day of November, � DPc 1961. SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at the regular meeting of said council held on November 20, 1961. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of reading such ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
