260ORDINANCE NO. P60 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 146 ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE DEFINING MASTER PLUMBER, JOURNEYMAN PLUMBER AND MAINTENANCE PLUMBER AND PRESCRIBING OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES FOR SAID OCCUPATIONS, AND PROVIDING FOR EXAMINATION TO BE HELD FOR SAID OCCUPATIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA." BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Section 2 of Ordbance No. 146 of the City of Edgewater, Florida is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 2. No person shall engage in the occupation of Master Plumber, Journeyman Plumber or Maintenance Plumber as hereinbefore defined unless and until said person shall first have passed an examination to be given by the Building Inspector of the City of Edgewater; said examination shall be to determine the practical knowledge of the applicant of plumbing construc- tion and may be in whole or in part in writing, a nd shall be of a practical elementary character, but sufficiently strict to t est the qualifications of the applicant as to his ability as a plumber, and hisf amiliarity with the rules and regula- tions defining plumbing construction. The fee for examination shall be as follows: Master Plumber S25.00 Journeyman Plumber 12.50 Maintenance Plumber 12.50 The Building Inspector of the City of Edgewater may waive the examination for any applicant who he finds has passed an examination in another city or political subdivision sufficiently strict in his opinion to be equal to or superior in examining the applicant to the examination given by the Building In- spector of the City of Edgewater. This provision shall not apoly to the fees for the examination. SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinames In conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed. ace SECTION j- That this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval of the Mayor. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at the regular meeting of said Council held on February 15, 1960. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried the requirement of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
