AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 145 ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE DEFINING MASTER
ELECTRICIAN, JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN, AND MAINTEN-
ANCE ELECTRICIAN, AND PRESCRIBING OCCUPATIONAL
LICENSES FOR SAID OCCUPATIONS, AND PROVIDING FOR
EXAMINATIONS TO BE HELD FOR SAID OCCUPATIONS
WITHIN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA".
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 145 of the City
of Edgewater, Florida Is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 2. No person shall engage in the occupation of
Master Electrician, Journeyman Electrician or Maintenance Elec-
trician as hereinbefore defined unless and until said person first
shall have passed an examination to be given by the Building
Inspector of the City of Edgewater; said examination shall be
to determine the practical knowledge of the applicant of
electrical construction and may be in whole or in part in
writing, and shall be of a practical elementary character but
sufficiently strict to test the qualifications of the appli-
cant as to hisa bility as an electrician, and hisf m iliarity
with the rules and regulations defining electrical construction.
The fee for examination shall be as follows:
Master Electrician $25.00
Journeyman Electrician 12.50
Maintenance Electrician. 12.50
The Building Inspector of the City of Edgewater may waive
the examination for any applicant who he finds has passed an
examination In another city or political subdivision sufficiently
strict, in his opinion, to be equal to or superior in examining
the applicant to the examination given by the Building Inspector
of the City of Edgewater. This provision shall not apply to
the fees for the examination.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances orparts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith be and the same hereby are repealeq.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and approval of the Mayor.
The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the
City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at the regular
meeting of said Council held on February 15, 1960.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement
of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the
ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
Passed by vote of the C ity C ouncil of the City of Edgewater,
Florida, at the regular meeting of said Council held on the 15th
day of February, 1960 and approved as provided by law, the vote of
said Council being as follows:
