AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AND APPOINTING A
REGULAR POLICE OFFICER FOR THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND
SETTING FORM COMPENSATION FOR SUCH OFFICE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That John Franklin Deibler be and he hereby is .;;.
designated and appointed a regular police officer for the City of
Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, with full power and authority
to do and perform all of the duties of said office as fixed and
defined by the Charter and ordinances of said city and the laws of
the State of Florida, to serve as such at the will of the City
Council of the said city. That the said John Franklin Deibler
shall be paid the sum of Two Hundred Twenty-five and No/100 ($225.00)
Dollars per month for the first six months of his employment. There-
after, the compensation may be raised to the sum of Two Hundred
Fifty and No/100 ($250.00) Dollars per month, said appointment being
effective as of the 22nd day of January, 1960.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the
City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at the regular meeting
of said council held on January 18, 1960.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requitement
of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the
ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
Passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida, at the regular meeting of said council held on the 18th day
of January, 1960 and approved as provided by law, the vote of said
council being as follows:
