247ORDINANCE NO. 247 AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AND APPOINTING A CHIEF OF POLICE FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, AND SETTING FORTH COMPENSATION FOR SUO1 OFFICE BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Francis H. Norman be and he hereby is desig- nated and appointed Chief of Police for the City of Edgewater, o Florida, with full power and authority to do and perform all the duties of s aid office as fixed and defined by the Charter and Ordinances of said city and the Laws of the State of Florida, to serve as such at the will of the City Council of said city; that the said Francis H. Norman shall be paid the sum of Four Hundred and No/100 ($400.00) Dollars per month for his services, said appointment being effective as of November 1, 1959. SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect imm, diately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of Edgewater, Florida, at the regular meeting held on November 16, 1959. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
