245ORDINANCE NO. 245 A AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AND APPOINTING A VICEd/ MAYOR FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, AND �� SETTING FORTH THE COMPENSATION FOR SUCH OFFICE �� BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Reeves P. Smith, Sr. be and he hereby is designated and appointed Vice Mayor for the C ity of Edgewater, Florida, with full power and authority to do and perform all of the duties of said office as fixed and defined by the Charter and Ordinances of the said city and the laws of the State of Florida, to serve as such at the will of the City Council of said city; that the said Reeves P. Smith, Sr. shall be paid no compensation for his services as Vice Mayor; that said appointment shall be effective as of November 1, 1959. SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. Thea bove ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at the regular meeting held on November 16, 1959. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
