232qlmpnm� ORDINANCE NO.:'3e AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 19 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE SOUTHERN STANDARD BUILDING CODE AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF". WHEREAS, The City of Edgewater, Florida, did adopt said Ordinance No. 19 on May 20, 1952; and WHEREAS, the Southern Standard Building Code was adopted; and WHEREAS, it is expedient to amend Section 106.2 of said Southern Standard Building Code; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. All construction, alteration and repair, and all material and all appliances used In connection with the construction, alteration or repair of structures in the City of Edgewater, Florida, shall be in conformity with the rules and regulations set down in what is known as the Southern Standard Building Code, 1953 - 1954 revisions as the same now are established or as the same hereafter may be established from time to time, and the said rules and regula- tions are hereby adopted and approved and made a part of this ordinance, EXCEPT that Section 106.2 of said Southern Standard Building Code, commencing with line 10, of Sub -section A of the aforesaid Section 106.2 shall read as follows:- "It shall be the further duty of every such person to give good and sufficient three - party bondsmen in the sum of $10,000.00 to be approved by the C ity Clerk, conditioned to conform to the building regulations of this section and other ordinances of the City in reference to buildings". SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect as oy� 1959. upon its passage and approval of the Mayor. a4 y i3� The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular n. eting of said Council held on the 17th day of August, 1959. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
