212ORDINANCE NO. 212 AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AND APPOINTING AN ACTING MAYOR IN THE ABSENCE OF THE DULY ELECTED MAYOR AND THE DULY DESIGNATED VICE - MAYOR FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA. WHEREAS the duly elected Mayor and the duly designated an�� appointed Vice -Mayor of the City of Edgewater, Florida, are tempo;� arily absent from said City; NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT ENACTED BY THE ?EOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Bernard Farrell be and he hereby is designated and appointed Acting Mayor in the absence of the duly elected mayor, George O. Sedgwick and the duly designated and appointed Vice Mayor, Crawford C. Shaeffer, with full power and authority to do and per- form all the duties of the office of Mayor as vested and defined by the Charter and ordinances of said City and the laws of the State of Florida; to serve as such at the will of the City Council of said city. That the said Bernard Farrell shall be paid no compensation for his services, said appointment being effective as of September 15, 1958. SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting held on the 15th day of September, 1958. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage. Passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 15th day wiz of September, A.
