AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AND A' POINTING A
POLICE OFFICER FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND SETTING FORTH
THE COMPENSATION FOR SUCH OFFICER.�,>
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: '
SECTION 1. That Elbert W. Eaton be and he hereby is designated 06®S
and appointed a police officer for the City of Edgewater, Volusia
County, Florida, with full power and authority to do and perform all
of the duties of said office as fixed and definied by the Charter
and Ordinances of said city and by the laws of the State of Florida,
to serve as such at the will of the City Council of said city. That
the said Elbert W. Eaton shall be paid the sum of not more than
Ten and No/100 ($10.00) Dollars per day for his services, said
appointment being effective as of September 1, 1958,
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con—
flict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the
City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting

held September W, 1958.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, ther equirement of
reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the
ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
Passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 15th day
of September, A. D. 1958, and approved as provided by law, the vote
of said Council on roll call being as follows:
