AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS
TO FURNISH THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA,
WITH A GOOD AND SUFFICIENT THREE PARTY BOND
IN THE SUM OF ONE THOUSAND DOLIA RS AND PRE-
SCRIBING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:

SECTION 1. Before any person, firm or corporation shall
engage in the business of electrical contracting in the City
of Edgewater, Florida, he, they or It shall first obtain the
proper licenses and deposit with the city a good and Sufficient
three party bond in the sum of $1000 to be approved by the City
Clerk, conditioned that the person, firm or corporation engaged
In the electrical contracting business will faithfully observe
all the laws pertaining to the installation, alteration and
repair of electrical equipment.
SECTION 2. That any person, firm or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not
more than $ 50.00 or confined for not more than 10
days or both, at the discretion of the Municipal Judge. Each
day such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall
constitute a further offense and shall be punishable as such
thereunder.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
The above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of
the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular
meeting held on the 15th day of September, 1958.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the require-
ment of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived
and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
