195S ORDINANCE NO. 19fi AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 17_ _6_ DESIGNATING AND APPOINTING A CHIEF OF POLICE FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND SETTING FORTH A COM- PENJSATION FOR SUCH OFFICE. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA. SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 176 of the City of Edgewater, Florida, be and it hereby is amended to read as follows: That Francis H. Norman be and he hereby is designated and appointed Chief of Police for the City of Edgewater, Volusla County, Florida, with full power and authority to do and perform all the duties of said office as fixed and defined by the Charter and Ordinances of said city and the Laws of the State of Florida; to serve as such at the will of the City Council of said city; that the said Francis H. Norman shall be paid the sum of Four Hundred and No/100 ($400.00) Dollars per month for his services, said appointment being effective as of March-l; 1958. SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon Its passage and approval by the Mayor. Retroactive as of the 15t. day of February, A. D. 1958 he above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting held 71aeck--f , 1958. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the require- ment of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
