1790 ORDINANCE NO. 179 AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AND APPOINTING A CITY ATTORNEY FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND SETTING FORTH A COMPENSATION FOR SUCH OFFICE. /� /� BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: Iog SECTION 1. That John E. Chisholm be and he hereby is designated and appointed City Attorney for the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, with full power and authority to do and perform all of the duties of said office as fixed and defined by the Charter and Ordinances of said City and the Laws of the State of Florida; to serve as such at the will of the City Council of said city; that the said John E. Chisholm shall be paid the sum of Three Hundred Fifty and No/100 ($350.00) Dollars per year as a retainer, and an additional sum of Ten and No/100 ($10.00) Dollars per meeting, the above -mentioned sums being paid for performing the regular and routine duties as City Attorney; additional compensation to be set for all other extraordinary and additional services, said appointment being effective as of the lst day of November, A. D. 1957. SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting held on the lath day of November, A. D. 1957. #M Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the require- ment of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage. Passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the llth day of November, A.
