178{ ORDINANCE NO. 1W AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AND APPOINTING A SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND SETTING FORTH COMPENSATION FOR SUCH OFFICE BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Herman John be and he hereby is desig- nated and appointed Special Police Officer for the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, for the ptrpose of acting as such special police officer on Sunday mornings only, to control and regulate the traffic at the Union Church, Edgewater, Florida; to serve as such at the will of the City Council of said city; that the said Herman Johns shall be paid the sum of Twelve and No/100 ($12.00) Dollars per month as compensa- tion for his services. Said appointment shall be effective as of the 1st day of November, A. D. 1957. SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting held on the lath day of November, A. D. 1957. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the require- ment of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage. Passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting of said council held C on the llth day of November, A.
