176ORDINANCE NO. 176 AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AND APPOINTING A CHIEF OF POLICE FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND SETTING FORTH A COMPENSATION FOR SUCH OFFICE. 4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Francis H. Norman be and he hereby is designated and appointed Chief of Police for the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, with full power and authority to do and perform all the duties of said office as fixed and defined by the Charter and Ordinances of said city and the Laws of the State of Florida; to serve as such at the will of the City Council of said city; that the said Francis H. Norman shall be paid the sum of Three Hundred Twenty-five and No/100 ($325.00) Dollars per month for his services, said appointment being effective as of the 1st day of November, A. D. 1957, SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same hereby are repealed. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting held on the lath day of November, A. D. 1957. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the require- ment of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage. *176 Passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meting of said Council held on the llth day of November, A.
