AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE RENTAL OF CITY —
OWNED EQUIPMENT OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER AND
SPECIFYING THE TERMS THEREOF
WHEREAS certain City —owned equipment is often times idle and unproduc—
tive, and to provide a return to the City when the same is idle and
unproductive, and not being used by the City
NOW, THEREFORE, VVV��I
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA-
Section 1: The City of Edgewater authorizes the rental of the follow—
ing City —owned equipment at the following rates:

Section 2: In the event any materials are furnished by the City in the
operation of any of the above items of equipment, the materials shall
be charged at cost plus 20%.
Section 3: Rentals shall be made only to residents of Edgewater, and at
such time as the City may not be using or needing the use of the items
of equipment listed.
Section 4: Added to all charges shall be a charge for damage to the
equipment, in the event any of the eouipment is returned damaged.
Section 5: The Mayor of the City of Edgewater is authorized to permit
the rental of the above equipment on the above terms when, in his discre—
tion, the City is not in present need thereof.
Section 6: None of the above equipment shall be rented for use outside

the corporate limits of the City of Edgewater.
Section 7: The Mayor shall have the right to refuse rental of the
equipment to any person where the equipment is rented without an opera—
tor if, in the discretion of the Mayor, the person desiring to rent
the equipment does not know sufficiently well how to operate properly
the equipment to be rented.
Section 8: This Ordinance shall be effective nunc pro tunc as of July I.,
1957.
Section 9: All ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 10: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its pas—
sage and approval by the Mayor.
The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by the vote of the City
Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting held on
the 15th day of July, A. D. 1957.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of reading
said Ordinance upon second reading was waived, and'the Ordinance was
ordered put upon final passage.
