AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9 OF ORDINANCE NO. 139 IN REGARD TO WHERE THE FIRE DEPART- MENT OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER SHALL SERVE. y/w,/n//A/D /�/� BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDPO TC // Section 1: That Section 9 of Ordinance No. 139 be and the same is i/ hereby amended to read as follows: The Fire Department of the City of Edgewater shall serve (a) within the City of Edgewater, (b) In other areas where fire departments therein give mutual aid to the City of Edgewater, (a) when requested to out- side the City of Edgewater by law enforcement officers or Civil Defense authorities, or, (d) outside the City when life Is endangered, and (e) outside the City where a deposit has been made in advance in an amount of not lees than $25.00 and not more than $50.00, the amount to be determined by the Mayor after considering the ex- tent of the property to be protected and the distance from the City of Edgewater of the property to be pro- tected, and said deposit to be exhausted and forfeited at not less than the rate of $25.00 per fire. Section 2: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict here- with be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 3: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor, The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting on the 8th day of April, A. D. 1957. Upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the requirement of reading said Ordinance upon second reading was waived, and the Ordi- nance put upon final passage.
