149ORDINANCE NO. " AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A COUNCILMAN OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO SERVE UNTIL THE NEXT SPECIAL ELECTION. WHEREAS a special election is to be held on the day of C, D. 1957, to fill the unexpired term for Councilman from Zone No. 2, and WHEREAS by the Charter the City Council has the power to appoint a Councilman to serve temporarily until said special election, now therefore BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1: That STANLEY SEND, SR. be and he is hereby appointed to serve as Councilman for the City of Edgewater from Zone 2 from this date /until a special election to fill said vacancy to be held on the L Y day of M , 1957. Section 2: He shall receive for his compensation for said office the sum of $25.00 per month. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. Section 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are repealed. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting on the 25th day of March, A. D. 1957. Upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the require— ment of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived, and the ordinance was put upon final passage. Passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular matting of said Council held on the 25th day of March, A.
