132ORDINANCE NO. 132
AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING CERTAIN OCCUPATIONAL
AND BUSINESS LICENSE TAXES AND PROVIDING FOR
THE PAYMENT AND COLLECTION THEREOF AND PROVIDING
PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLO:1
IINO
SECTION 1: No person or persons, firm or corporation shall engage in,
manage, transact or carry on any business, profession or occupation
for the sale of fuel oil, or other petroleum products, until after a
license thereof shall have been procured from the City Clerk of the
City of Edgewater, Florida, which license shall be issued to each
person, firm or corporation for the sum of Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00)
per year.
SECTION 2: The license year shall begin on October let of each year
and and on September 30th of each year. No license shall be issued
for any fractional portion for any year, except that any license may
be issued after the 1st day of April to expire September 30th upon
the payment of Twelve Dollars and Fifty Cents ($12.50).
SECTION 3: Said license shall be transferable with the approval of
the Mayor when the business for which said license was issued may be
sold.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance is supplemental to Ordinance No. 67 of the
City of Edgewater, and no person or persons, firm or corporation shall
be required to be licensed under this Ordinance who already is licensed
under Ordinance No. 67, or under any amendments thereto.
SEDTION 5: Any person, firm or corporation found guilty of violating
any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be fined $300.00 or
imprisoned for not more than 90 day, or both.
SECTION 6: If any section, portbn, word or clause of this Ordinance
for any reason shall be held void, inoperative or unconstitutional,
such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect or invalidate -
the remaining sections or provisions thereof.

SECTION 7: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
be, and the same are, hereby repealed.
SECTION 8: This Ordinance shall take effect October 1, 1956.
The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by the vote of the City
Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting on the
loth day of September, A. D. 1956.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the reouirement of reading
said Ordinance upon second reading was waived, and the Ordinance was
ordered put upon final passage.
Passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida,
at a regular meeting of said Council held on the loth day of September,
A. D. 1956, and approved as provided by Law, the vote of said Council
on roll call being as follows:
