BE IT ENACTED BY THE PFOPLE OF TEE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FL �
Section 1: Section Two (2) of Ordinance Number 68 of the City of
Edgewater, Florida, being the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
The license year shall begin on the first day of October of each
year and end on the 30th day of September of each year, on which
latter date all licenses shall expire. No license shall be issued for
any fractional portion of any year, except as otherwise provided herein,
and except that any license may be issued after the first day of April
to expire September 30th upon payment of cne—half of the amount
fixed as the price of such license for one year. All licenses
required under this ordinance shall be obtained not later than
November let of each year, except licenses for new businesses
beginning operation after that date. All licenses, except new
businesses, which are not obtained on or before November 1st,
shall be determined deliquent, and in addition to the license
fee herein perscribed, the city Clerk shall charge a deliquent
penalty in the amount of ten per cent of the amount of the
respective license. All licenses shall be displayed in a
prominent public place in all business establishments.
Section 2: Section Three (3), of Ordinance Number 68, of the City
of Edgewater, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Upon the payment of a transfer fee of two ($2.00) dollars, all
business licenses shall be transferable, with the approval of the
Mayor, with the business for which they were issued, when there is
a bona fide sale or transfer of the property used and employed in
the business as stock in trade, but such transferred license shall
not be good for any longer time nor in any other place than that
for which it was originally issued. The original license must be
surrendered to and filed with the City Clerk, at the time of
application for the transfer and such transferred license, after
being approved, shall be of the same force and effect as the
original license.

Section 3: Section Four (4), of Ordinance Humber 69 of the City of
Edgewater, Florida is hereby amended by adding thereto the following provisions:

apply only to those persons, firms, or

amended to read as follows:

The above shall apply only to persons,
firms, or corporations having more than
one rental unit within the corr_orate limits
of the City of Edgewater, Florida;
Section 4: That save and accept as herein modified, Ordinance Number
6,7 of the City of Edgewater, Florida, the same being the Occupational License
Ordinance of said city shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 5: That this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its passage and approval by the Mayor.
Section 6: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be, and the same are, hereby repealed.
The above ordinance was read in full and passed by the vote of the
City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting held on
the 9th day of August, A. D. 1954.
Upon motion duly made, s-conded and carried, the requirement of
reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived, and the ordinance was
ordered put upon final passage.
