58ORDINANCE N0. 58 AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A CITY ENGINEER FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING COJEWSATION FOR HIS SERVICES BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA- Section 1: That William F. Swoops, Jr. be, and he is hereby designated and appointed city engineer for the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, to serve as such at the will of the City Council of said City, with full power and authority to do and perform all of the duties of said office as fixed and defined by the charter and ordinances of said City and the laws of the State of Florida; that he is to receive compensation at the prevailing pay scale for engineers for all services performed, said appointment to be effective as of December 14, 1953. Section 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here- with be, and the same are, hereby repealed. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. The above ordinance was read in full and passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting on the 14th day of December, A. D. 1953. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried the requirement of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived, and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage. Passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 14th day of December, A.
