ORDINANCE No. 52
AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A CITY ATTORNEY ADOPTED
FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VnLUSIA COUNTY,
FLORIDA, AND SETTING THE COMPENSATION FOR
SUCH SERVICES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That John E. Chisholm be, and he is, hereby designated and
appointed City Attorney for the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, with
full power and authority to do and perform all of the duties of said office as
fixed and defined by the Charter and ordinances of said City and the laws of
the State of Florida, to serve as such at the will of the City Council of said
city; that the said John F. Chisholm shall be paid the sum of Two Hundred Fifty
Dollars (1250.00) per year as a retainer and an additional sum of Ten Dollars
(4,10.00) per meeting, the above -mentioned sums being paid for performing the
regular and routine duties as City Attorney, additional compensation to be paid
for all other extraordinary and additional services, said appointment being
effective as of the let day of November, A. D. 1953.
Section 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be, and the same are, hereby repealed.
Section This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
passage and approval by the Mayor.
The above ordinance was read in full and passed by the vote of the
City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting on the
9th day of November, A. D. 1953.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried the require-
ment of reading said ordinance upon second reading was waived, and the ordinance
was ordered put upon final passage.

Passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 9th day of November,
A. D. 1953 and approved as provided by Law, the vote of said Council on roll
call being as follows:
