1960-13RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, ON THE 8th DAY OF NOVEMBER, A.D. 1960 AND PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE OF ELECTION TO THE CITY OFFICER CHOSEN AT SAID ELECTION. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That from the canvass of the returns, it is hereby declared that the result of the Special Election held in the City of Edgewater, Florida, on November 8th, 1960 is as follows: - FOR UNMPI.RED TERM - COUNCILMAN DISTRICT A. George V. Beck Received 107 Votes Joseph F. Emry, Jr. Received 34 Votes Received Votes SECTION 2. That the City Council of said City does hereby declare that George V. Beck received the highest number of votes for District #1 for the office of City Councilman for an unexpired term and is hereby declared the regularly elected Councilman to serve the unexpired term, or until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified. The above and foregoing Resolution was introduced by Councilman. Sen¢ who moved this resolution be adopted, which motion was duly seconded by Councilman Smith and upon a roll call vote taken, the same was declared adopted this 9th day of November, A. D. 1960.
