A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NOMIPZES FOR THE
OFFICE OF COUNCILMEN OF THE CITY OF EDGE.IIATER,
VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA TO BE ELECTED AT A
REGULAR ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 7th,
1961, AND PROVIDING FOR THE PREPARATION AND
PRINTING OF BALLOTS FOR SAID ELECTION.
WHEREAS, petitions have been filed with the City Clerk of the City of
Edgewater, Florida to have the names of George, V. Beck, Nels Frantzen
& Carl A. Siller, Zone #1; Frank N. Conrad, Eugene Hodges & Stanley
A. Seng, Sr., Zone #2; Matthew DeMatthews, Kenneth G. May & Henry
Palmateer, Zone #3; Ralph A. Beach, George Kennedy, Paul D Wasserott,
Zone #4 & J. ;Paul Hensel, Zone 4, placed on the ballot for Councilman,
at the Regular City Election to be held on November 7, A. D. 1961, in
the City of Edgewater, Florida.
WHEREAS, J.. Paul Hensel did not qualify, action duly taken according
to law this name be stricken from the qualifiers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
That the names of George V. Beck, Niels Frantzen, Carl A. Siller,
Frank N. Conrad, Eugene Hodges, Stanley A. Sang, Sr., Matthew DeMatthews,
Kenneth G. May, Henry Palmateer, Ralph A. Beach, George Kennedy, Paul D.
Wasserott, be placed on the official ballot as nominees for the office
of Councilman in his respective zone, for a term of tTgo years and the
said George V. Beck, Nels Frantzen, Carl A. Siller, Frank N. Conrad,
Eugene Hodges, Stanley A. Sang, Sr. Matthew DeMatthews, Kenneth G. May,
Henry Palmateer, Ralph A. Beach, George Kennedy and Paul D. Wasserott
are hereby declared to be duly nominated for said office to be filled
at the Regular City Election to be held on November 7th, 1961.
That the printing of necessary ballots will be in accordance with
the advise of Katherine Odham and there will be printed absentee ballots.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby rescinded.
The above and foregoing Resolution was presented by Councilman Senz
who moved its adoption, said motion being duly seconded by Councilman Beck
and upon roll call vote the said Resolution was duly declared adopted at
Regular Meeting of said Council held on the 20th day of October, A. D. 1961,
the vote of said Council on roll call being as follows: -
