A RESOLUTION APPOINTING SUBORDINATE PATROLMAN
AS RESERVE OFFICER ON THE POLICE FORCE OF THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA,
AND SETTING FORTH COMPENSATION FOR SUCH. OFFICER.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER
Section 1: That pursuant to Section 39 of the City
Charter of the City of Edgewater, Florida, the City Council of the
City of Edgewater, Florida, hereby designates KENNETH S. IHNKEN,
JR., as a subordinate policeman, as a reserve officer on the
force of the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, with full
power and authority to do and perform all the duties as a patrolma
and policeman as fixed and defined by the Charter and Ordinances o
said City and the Laws of the State of Florida; to serve as such
subordinate and reserve policeman and patrolman at the will of the
City Council of said City. That the said KENNETH S. IHNKEN, JR.,
shall be paid the sum of One and 25/100 ($1.25) Dollars per hour
for each hour actually worked by said subordinate and reserve
patrolman and policeman. That the Chief of Police of the City of
Edgewater, Florida be and he is hereby authorized to utilize and
hire such subordinate and reserve officer for a period not to ex-
ceed thirty-two hours in any one month. Said appointment being
effective as of the 2nd day ofApril, A.D., 1962.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediatel
upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
Section 3: That this resolution is enacted pursuant to
the provisions of Section 39 of the Charter of the City of Edge-
water, Florida, being an act designated as Chapter 27532, Laws of
the State of Florida as amended.
The above and foregoing resolution was presented by
Councilman Palmateer who moved its adoption; said Motion b
seconded by Councilman Kennedy and upon Roll Call vote,
the said resoL.tion was duly declared, adopted at the regular
meeting of said Council held on the 2nd day of April, A.D., 1962,
