1962-23A RESOLUTION APPOINTING SUBORDINATE PATROLMAN AS RESERVE OFFICER ON THE POLICE FORCE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND SETTING FORTH COMPENSATION FOR SUCH OFFICER, AND REPEALING FAST RESOLUTIONS LIMITING NUMBER OF HOURS WHICH OTHER SUBORDINATE PATROLMEN AND RESERVE OFFICERS MAY WORK PER MONTH. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA. Section 1; That pursuant to Section 39 of the City Charter of the City of Edgewater, Florida, the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, hereby designates CHARLES R. BOHHER as a subordinate policeman, as a reserve officer on the police force of the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, with full power and authority to do and perform all the duties as a patrol- man and policeman as fixed and defined by the charter and ordinances of said city and the laws of the State of Florida; to serve as such subordinate and reserve policeman and patrolman at the will of the City Council of said City. That the said CHARLES R. BOHNER shall be paid the sum of One and 251100 ($1.25) Dollars per hour for each hour actually worked by said subordinate and reserve patrol- man and policeman. That the Chief of Police of the City of Edgewater, Florida be and he is hereby authorized to utilize and hire such subordinate and reserve .officer for periods as needed. Said appointment being effective as of the 6th day of July, A.D., 1962. Section 2: That past resolutions limiting the number of hours which each subordinate policeman and reserve officer may work per month be and the same are hereby repealed, and that there shall be no specific number of hours per month which limits the use of subordinate policemen and reserve officers.and the Chief of Police of the City of Edgewater, Florida, be and he is hereby authorized to utilize the services of such subordinate policemen and reserve officers for periods as needed. Section 3: This resolution is enacted pursuant to the provisions of Section 39 of the Charter of the City of Edge- water, Florida, being an act designated as Chapter 27532, Laws of the State of Florida as amended. - 1 - 1961-62 # 23 Section That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
