A PROCLAMATION PROVIDING FOR THE CALLING
AND HOLDING OF A SPECIAL ELECTION OF THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA
WHEREAS, a special election is required to be held
in the year 1963, for the purpose of approval or disapproval
of the new City charter, being House Bill 1809 passed at the
1963 session of the Legislature of the State of Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA-
SECTION 1. That Tuesday, July 30th, 1963, be and
the same hereby is fixed as a Special Election Day in the
City of Edgewater, Florida, for the purpose of holding an
election to approve or disapprove the new City Charter, be-
ing House Bill 1809 passed at the 1963 session of the Legis-
lature of the State of Florida, and a special election is here-
by called on July 30th, 1963, for said purpose, and the Clerk
is hereby authorized and directed to post two copies of the
notice of said special election in the most conspicuous and
public places in the City of Edgewater, Florida, one of which
shall be the bulletin board in the City Hall of said City.
SECTION 2. That the registration books of said
City shall be kept open according to the general election
law of the State of Florida.
The above and foregoing Proclamation was introduced
at the adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Edgewater, Florida, held on June 26th, 1963, said
Proclamation being introduced by Councilman Palmateer ,
who moved its adoption, which said motion was seconded by
Councilman Drury and carried; the vote of
said Council being as follows;
