Proclamation - General Election - 11-05-1963A PROCLAMATION PROVIDING FOR THE CALLING
AND HOLDING OF A REGULAR ELECTION OF THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA
WHEREAS, a regular election is required to be .held in the
year 1963 for the purpose of electing a mayor and four councilmen
to serve on the governing body of the City of Edgewater, Florida,
for a 2 year term beginning November 6, 1963.
NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the first Tuesday after the first Monday in
November, 1963, to -wit, November 5, 1963, be and the same hereby is
fixed as Regular Election Day in the City of Edgewater, Florida,for
the purpose of holding an election to elect a mayor and four council-
men to serve on the governing body of the City of Edgewater, Florida,
for a two year period beginning November 6, 1963, and a regular elec-
tion is hereby called on November 5, 1963, in the Community Center in
the City of Edgewater, Florida for said purpose, and the Clerk hereby is
authorized and directed to post two copies of the notice of said election
in the most conspicuous and public places in the City of Edgewater, Florida,
one of which shall be the bulletin board in the City Hall of said
city.
SECTION 2. That the registration books of said city shall be
kept open according to the general election law of the State of
Florida.
The above and foregoing Proclamation was introduced at the Regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, held on
September 16. 1963 , said Proclamation being introduced by
Councilman Siller who moved its adoption, which said motion
was seconded by Councilman Seng and carried, the vote of
said Council being as follows:
