26RESOLUTION NO 26 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE REGULAR ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, ON THE 5TH DAY OF NOVEMHER, A.D. 1963 AND PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE OF ELECTION TO THE CITY OFFICERS CHOSEN AT SAID ELECTION. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, MRIDA: SECTION 1. That from the canvass of the returns, it is hereby declared that the result of the Regular Election held in the City of Edgewater, Florida, on November 5th, 1963 is as follows: — FOR TWO YEAR TERM — MAYOR AT LARGE Dana T. Armstrong Received 451 Votes Mrs. Frank F. Dippery Received 385 Votes A. Hussey Received 256 Votes FOR TWO YEAR TERM — COUNCILMAN DISTRICT #1 Carl A. Diller Received 120 Votes Edward G. Steighner Received 2— Votes DISTRICT #2 Crawford C. Shaeffer Received 47 Votes Earl L. Tingle Received 87 Votes DISTRICT #3 William H. Cairnie Received 189 Votes Kenneth G. May Received 123 Votes DISTRICT #4 B. R. Ridgdill Received 251 Votes David L. Wiggins Received 230 Votes SECTIONan2 That the City Council of said City does hereby declare that Da T. Armstrong received the highest number of votes cast for the office of Mayor for a term of two years, and Car] ^. Sin ar District #1, T'.-1 T,. Tingle District #2, William H. CairnieDistrict #3 and B. R. Ridgdill District #4, received the highest number of votes cast for the office of City Councilmen for a term of two years, and is hereby declared the regularly elected Mayor and Councilmen of said City to serve for a term of two years, or until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified. The above and foregoing Resolution was introduced by Councilman San who moved this resolution be adopted, which motion was duly seconded by Councilman Palmateer and upon roll call vote taken the same was declared adopted this 6th day of November, A.D. 1963.
