A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT
FOR BIDS FOR FURNISHING ALL PLANT, LABOR,
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION
OF THE WATER PLANT IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
AND SANITARY SEWERAGE PROJECT FOR THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, on the 26th day of March, 1964, the Circuit Court, Seventh
Judicial Circuit of Florida, in and for Volusia County, validated revenue
bonds for the purpose of a water plant improvements project and the
construction of a sanitary sewerage system in the City of Edgewater,
Volusia County, Florida;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Edgewater, Florida:
1. That the City Clerk shall immediately advertise for sealed bids for
furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment and construction
of the water plant improvements project and sanitary sewerage project
for the City of Edgewater, Florida.
2. That said bids shall be published in a newspaper, or newspapers, of
general circulation in the State of Florida, and any States other than
Florida if feasible, once a week for four consecutive weeks beginning
the 28th day of March, 1964. Said bids shall be returnable by four
o*clock P.M., EST, April 30, 19649 at the Office of the City Clerk, City
Hall, Edgewater, Florida.
Attached hereto and made a part hereof is a copy of the advertisement
to be published.
RE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions
in conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby rescinded.
The above and foregoing Resolution was presented by Councilman Siller ,
who moved its adoption, said motion being seconded by Councilman Cairnie ,
and upon roll call vote, the said Resolution was duly declared adopted at the

meeting of said Council held on the *./-4 day of March, 1964, the vote of
said Council on roll call being as follows:

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for furnishing all plant, labor,materials and equipment and

constructing the Sanitary Sewerage Project for the City of Edgewater, will be received
at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Edgewater, Florida until 4:00 p M.,
EST, April 30 , 1964, at which time bids will be pu is y opopened and
read aloud. No bids will be accepted after the time and date specified.
The work shall be constructed in accordance with Plans and Specifications which

are available for inspection at the Engineers' offices at 720 Auditorium Boulevard,
Daytona Beach, Florida, and at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Edgewater,
Florida.

Copies of the Plans and Specifications may be obtained from the office of Briley,
Wild & Associates, P. O. Box 3052, Daytona Beach, Florida upon receipt of deposits
for each part of the work as listed below:

Any unsuccessful bidder, upon returning such set within 30 days after the date of
opening of bids, will be refunded the entire amount of his deposit. Any non-bidder,upon

such a set will be refunded 50 percent of his deposit.
Bids will be received for the Project in three parts, as set forth on the Bid Form,
and the award, if award is made, will be made by the Owner, for such part or combim-

tion of parts as he may deem to be in his best interest to accept, entirely at his option.
Bidders may bid on one, all or any combination of parts. In awarding contracts

no cognizance will betaken of any conditional or qualifying statement in any bid except
as to the limit of the bidder's bonding capacity.

must be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond, drawn in favor of the
City of Edgewater, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid as shown on the
Bid Form.

No bidder may withdraw his bid after the scheduled closing time for receipt of

bids. All bids must be firm bids for a period of 60 days after the time set for opening
of bids.
The City of Edgewater, Florida reserves the right to waive informalities and to
reject any cr all bids.

Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of
employment to be observed, and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract.
All proposals shall be on standard forms, which will be furnished with the
Specifications, and shall be sealed in envelopes marked,"Proposal for Construction of
Sanitary Sewerage Project for the City of Edgewater".
