46A RESOLUTION FAVORING THE ESTABLISHMENT
OF A BANK IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA
COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, there is presently pending before the Comptroller of the Currency,
United States Treasury Department, an application to organize a National Bank
of Edgewater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, considers the
establishment of a banking facility a prerequisite to fulfilling the public need
and necessity and convenience of the citizens of Edgewater, Florida, insofar as
their banking requirements may be concerned; and
W HE R EA S, the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, is of the opinion
that the City of Edgewater, Florida, is well able to support a banking facility;
N O W, T H E R E F O R E, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of
Edgewater, Florida, hereby approves and endorses the establishment of a
commercial banking facility in the City of Edgewater, Florida, and urges the
Comptroller of the Currency, United States Treasury Department, Washington,
D. C., to grant authority for, and approve, the establishment of such facility.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions
in conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby rescinded.
The above and foregoing Resolution was presented by Councilman mingle ,
who moved its adoption, said motion being seconded by Councilman Siller
and upon roll call vote, the said Resolution was duly declared adopted at the
regular meeting of said Council held on the 18th day of May, 1964, the vote of said
Council on roll call being as follows:
