Declaring Intent Narrow Dixwood Avenue - 10-08-1952RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE BITY OF EDGEWATER TO NARROW DIXWOOD AVENUE IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER AS PER MAP BOOK 8, PAGE 73, PUBLIC RECORDS OF VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, FROM A 50 rOOT WIDE STREET TO A 30 FOOT WIDE STREET, AND PROVIDING FOR THE SERVING OF NOTICE UPON ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS AND THE TIME AND PLACE AT WHICH OBJECTIONS CAN BE HEARD BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, hereby declares Its intention to narrow Dixwood Avenue in the City of Edgewater, Florida, as per map in Map Book 8, page 73, Public Records of Volusia County, Florida, from a 50 foot wide street to a 30 foot wide street, by aband— oning the 10 Northerly feet and the 10 Southerly feet of said street as per said map. 2. Notice of this resolution shall be served upon all persons whose property abuts upon Dixwood Avenue aforesaid by serving a true copy of this resolution upon said persons, and by publication of this resolution for one publication in the "New Smyrna Beach News", said newspaper being a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Edgewater, Florida, as to all persons who cannot be personally served. 3. The City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, will hear objections to the narrowing of Dixwood Avenue as aforesaid at the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at the City Hall, Edgewater, Florida, on October 22, 1952, at 7130 P.N. 4. In the event the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, passes an ordinance narrowing Dixwood Avenue as aforesaid, those portions of Dixwood Avenue abandoned shall revert to the abutting property owners as provided by operation of law. 5. This resolution is enacted pursuant to the provisions of Section 112, Chapter 27532, Laws of Florida, 1951. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith be, and the same are, hereby rescinded. The above and foregoing Resolution was presented by Councilman who moved its adoption, said motion being seconded by Councilman Haughron ; and upon roll call vote the said Resolution was duly declared adopted at the regular meeting of said Council held the 8th day of October, A.
