A RESOLUTION DECLARING TIM INTENTION OF THE CITY
OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA TO VACATE
FLAGLER AVENUE SOUTH OF THE SOUTH LINE OF THE
GERON7230 ALVAREZ CRAFT AIM OCEAN AVENUE WEST OF
THE RIGHT-OF-TTAY OF TIE' FLORIDA EAST COAST RAIL-
ROAD, AND PROVIDING FOR THE SERVICE OF NOTICE
UPON ABUTTING PROPERTY O'MRS AND THE TIME AND
PLACE AT WHIG" OBJECTIONS CAN BE HEARD BEFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL.
BE IT MSCLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGE?IATER, FLORIDA THAT:
1. The City Council of the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida
hereby declares its intention to vacate Flagler Avenue south of the south line
of the Geronimo Alvarez Grant and Ocean Avenue west of the right-of-way of the
Florida East Coast Railroad as shown on the official map of the City of Edge-
water, Florida.
2. Notice of this Resolution shall be served upon all persons whose
property abuts upon that portion of Flagler Avenue which lies south of the south
line of the Geronimo Alvarez Grant and Ocean Avenue west of the right-of-way of
the Florida East Coast Railroad by serving a true copy of this Resolution upon
said persons, and by publication of this Resolution for one publication in the
"New ,Smyrna Reach News", said newspaper being a newspaper of general circulation
in the City of Edgewater, Florida as to all persons who cannot be personally served.
3. The City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida will hear ob-
jections to the vacation of Flagler Avenue south of the south line of the Geronimo
Alvarez Grant and Ocean Avenue west of the right-of-way of the Florida East Coast
Railroad at the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida at the City Hall located in Edgewater, Florida on January 28, 1953.
4. In the event the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida
passes an ordinance vacating Flagler Avenue south of the south line of the
Geronimc Alvarez Grant and Ocean Avenue west of the right-of-way of the Florida
East Coast Railroad, those portions of the aforesaid streets abandoned shall re-
vert to the abutting property owner as provided by the operation of law.
5. This Resolution is enacted pursuant to the provisions of Section
112, Chapter 27532, Laws of Florida 1951.

BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions
in conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby rescinded, that this resolu-
tion take effect immediately upon approval by the Nayor.

The above and foregoing Resolution was presented by Councilman
Fuller , who moved its adoption, said notion being
seconded by Councilman Shaeffer ; and upon roll call
vote the said Resolution was duly declared adopted at the Regular
meeting of said Council held the 14th day of January, A. D.
1953, the vote of said Council on said roll call being as follows:
