Intent Dedicate Lands - Public Use - 10-01-1956i RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION STATING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF EDGEiATER, FLORIDA, TO DEDICATE CERTAIN DESCRIBED LANDS FOR PUBLIC USE IN THE EVENT THE SAME CAN BE OBTAINED BY THE CITY OF EDGEWATER. WHEREAS, the City of Edgewater, Florida, desires to purchase or acquire by gift from the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida, certain lands hereinafter described, and WHEREAS, the City of Edgewater, Florida, desires to make known its intentions concerning the use of said lands, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1:_ That the following described lands, to -wit: From the Northeast corner of Sec. 33, T. 17 S., R. 34 E., Public Lands Surveys of Florida, run N. 370 50t40" W., a distance of 358.35 ft. to "I.W.V." Mon. #44; thence N. 240 51110" W., a distance of 953.93 ft. to an intersection with the Easterly prolongation of the South line of Park Ave., a 50 ft. St., as now laidout in the City of Edgewater, Fla., thence run N. 670491 20" E., a distance of 1230 ft., more or less, to the Easterly line of the 500 ft. Right -of -ray of the Intracoastal Waterway Channel (Cut V-38) and the POINT OF BEGINNING of this description; thence N. 65037159" E. at right angles to the aforesaid Easterly line of the 500 ft. R/W of the 11 .W." Channel, a distance of 550 ft.; thence N. 7022' 01" W., a distance of 3250 ft.; thence N. 24022' 17" W., a distance of 1020 ft.; thence S. 650371434 W., a distance of 1500 ft., more or less, to the aforementioned Easterly line of the 500 ft. R/W of the "I.W.W." Channel; thence Southeasterly along the said Easterly R/W line, a distance of 4140 ft., more or less, to the Point of Beginning; said tract containing 108.5 acres, more or less; If acquired by the City of Edgewater by gift or purchase from the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida, will be forever restricted and dedicated for public use for a park or recreational purposes. Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, Is favorable to the acquisition of said lands by gift or purchase of nominal cost for the reason that there is a pressing need for the City of Edgewater for the use of said lands for a park or recrea- tional purposes. The above Resolution was read in full and passed by the vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting - 1 - on the let day of October, A.
